Current Opportunities at Vanderbilt

Our research program integrates large-scale microbiome, genomic, and multi-omic data to define host-microbe interactions and uncover the biological mechanisms underlying health and disease.

Department Medicine
Full Description

We are seeking a motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our multidisciplinary research team in the Department of Medicine at Vanderbilt äçÐÄvlogÃâ·ÑBÕ¾ Medical Center. Supported by multiple NIH grants, our research program leverages large-scale microbiome, genomic, multi-omic, and EHR-linked datasets to investigate the genetic and microbial determinants of health and disease. Major research areas include microbial and host-genetic discovery, host–microbiome interactions, integrative multi-omics, and AI-enabled biological discovery. Findings from this research will advance mechanistic understanding, identify candidate biomarkers for disease-risk prediction, and inform strategies for disease prevention and intervention.

Analyze large-scale genomic, microbiome, multi-omic, and EHR-linked datasets.
Develop and apply statistical, bioinformatics, and AI-based methods to identify disease-associated microbial features, host-genetic variants, and host–microbiome interactions.
Integrate genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic, and other multi-omic data to elucidate disease mechanisms.
Collaborate with investigators across national and international research consortia.
Lead manuscript preparation, present research findings at scientific meetings, and contribute to grant applications.
