National Organization for the Professional Advancement of Black Chemists and Chemical Engineers (NOBCChE) hosted a roundtable lunch with Dr. Jeanette Brown as part of its Breakout Professional sessions funded by the SGLC grant. Dr. Christy Erving was invited to present research on Exploring the Psychosocial Determinants of Black women鈥檚 Physical and Mental Health at 溏心vlog免费B站 of Michigan seminar. Dr. Erving also had two research articles accepted for publication!

Taiye Winful completes 1st year of Graduate School in the Department of Anthropology.

Dr. Karen King was selected as the Principal Investigator for the NSF #SBIR Innovative Postdoctoral Entrepreneurial Research Fellowship (I-PERF). The #NSF I-PERF program defines a new career pathway for entrepreneurially minded science and engineering doctoral degree holders from underserved backgrounds. I-PERF staff mines the national talent pool and matches these doctorates with some of the country鈥檚 most promising start-up companies for mutual benefit.
