National Organization for the Professional Advancement of Black Chemists and Chemical Engineers (NOBCChE) hosted a roundtable lunch with Dr. Jeanette Brown as part of its Breakout Professional sessions funded by the SGLC grant. Dr. Karen King was selected as the Principal Investigator for the NSF #SBIR Innovative Postdoctoral Entrepreneurial Research Fellowship (I-PERF). The #NSF I-PERF program defines a new career pathway for entrepreneurially minded science and engineering doctoral degree holders from underserved backgrounds. I-PERF staff mines the national talent pool and matches these doctorates with some of the country鈥檚 most promising start-up companies for mutual benefit.
