It is impractical to enumerate all ways in which a student’s pathway may differ from this example (for instance, a student coming in with a prior MS may wish to forego BIOS 7323 in favor of another elective; another may wish to take their Doctoral Qualifying Exam in the Fall of Year 3 and complete a Wednesday Seminar the following January). Students should consult with their Academic Advisor and/or the Director of Graduate Studies (DGS) to advise on electives and/or modifications to the typical pathway. Changes have implications for the number of research credit hours that the Graduate Program Manager and DGS will help students navigate.
