Title: Tractography Algorithms with Global Information via Transformers
Who: Antoine Théberge, 4th year PhD student in Computer Science at the äçÐÄvlogÃâ·ÑBÕ¾ of Sherbrooke Québec, Canada.Ìý
Where: Featheringill Hall (FGH) 308Ìý
When: Thursday, September 5th | 4:00pmÌý
Abstract: Tractography has been described as an ill-posed problem as it tries to infer the global connectivity of the brain’s white matter using only local information. Meanwhile, Transformers have been used to model long-term dependencies in tasks such as Natural Language processing and make up the bulk of the state of the art in image processing. In this talk, I will present some projects I am working on where Transformers can be trained to include global information into the tractography procedure and improve its reconstruction accuracy.Ìý
