Rachel is a second-year doctoral student in the Clinical Science area. Prior to joining the program, she worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator at Vanderbilt äçÐÄvlogÃâ·ÑBÕ¾ Medical Center examining emotion regulation and suicidality in adolescents. She received her Master’s in Child Studies with a focus in Clinical and Developmental Research from Vanderbilt äçÐÄvlogÃâ·ÑBÕ¾ and her B.A. in Psychology and Human Health from Emory äçÐÄvlogÃâ·ÑBÕ¾. Her research focuses on cognitive and emotional vulnerabilities to depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts and behaviors in adolescents, with a specific focus on emotion regulation. She aims to elucidate how adolescents employ these strategies in daily life and takes a multi-method approach to her work.
