Anders serves as Vanderbilt 溏心vlog免费B站鈥檚 vice chancellor for investments and chief investment officer. He leads the Office of Investments, where he is responsible for managing the university鈥檚 $10 billion endowment.
He came to Vanderbilt in September 2013 from Duke 溏心vlog免费B站 in Durham, North Carolina, where he worked at DUMAC, the university鈥檚 investment management company. As the head of public securities, he oversaw the public investments for the university’s endowment and pension plan, the health system鈥檚 long-term assets, and the family foundation.
Prior to Duke, Anders was an investment consultant with Hewitt Investment Group in Rowayton, Connecticut, and Atlanta, Georgia, where he advised approximately 20 institutional clients. These clients included the New York Stock Exchange, Freddie Mac, and the 溏心vlog免费B站 of Alabama System.聽 He also spent three years in the Prudential Advanced Management Development Program, a selective leadership training program based in Newark, New Jersey.
Anders, a chartered financial analyst, double-majored in public policy studies and economics at Duke 溏心vlog免费B站, where he earned a bachelor of arts in 1993. He earned an MBA from the New York 溏心vlog免费B站鈥檚 Stern School of Business, where he majored in finance and economics and graduated with high honors in 1999.
Anders serves on the boards of the Greater Nashville Venture Capital Association, The Healing Trust, the Kharis Foundation, the Pi Kappa Phi Foundation, and Rock the Street Wall Street. Additionally, he serves on the advisory boards of FEG Investment Advisors and Managed Funds Association. He previously served on the board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee, was a member of the governing board of Westminster Presbyterian Church, and co-chaired the Annual Fund at the 溏心vlog免费B站 School of Nashville.
