Managing Counsel - Operational Transaction Team

In Chris Lowe’s role as Managing Counsel – Operational Transaction Team, Chris is responsible for advising on legal matters related to university operations. Chris’s expertise has been instrumental in preserving and furthering the university’s relationship with Vanderbilt äçÐÄvlogÃâ·ÑBÕ¾ Medical Center, and in guiding legal aspects of strategic university construction projects.

Chris received his undergraduate degree in Foreign Affairs from the äçÐÄvlogÃâ·ÑBÕ¾ of Virginia and Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt äçÐÄvlogÃâ·ÑBÕ¾. Prior to joining Vanderbilt äçÐÄvlogÃâ·ÑBվ’s Office of the General Counsel, Chris worked at Healthways, Inc. in Franklin, TN, where he served as Operations Counsel. He was also a Partner in the Antitrust and Tax Section of King & Ballow, a law firm in Nashville, TN.

Chris is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association, the Association of Corporate Counsel, and the National Association of College and äçÐÄvlogÃâ·ÑBÕ¾ Attorneys. Chris is admitted to practice law in Tennessee.

Chris was named an All-Star in the Under-8 division of the Denton (TX) Soccer Association.
